What you need to do is create one word or short phrase. This will then trigger an image or film in your head of a place, happening, whatever that you see yourself in. You are enjoying yourself, it can be peaceful, you feel relaxed, happy, content and stress free!
Keep watching your film or picture and really feel how enjoyable you felt when you were there.
The result will be that the stress levels will reduce quickly. This is a very effective method to reduce sudden impact stress levels just as much as you feeling the stress building up over a period of time.
Think of the word or short phrase and lock your mind away and watch your stress busting film.
And this will counteract the stress which, if left alone, will create a build up of acid in your system including the bowel. And the last thing you want is excessive acid. Remember the colitis diet advice you have been given where you should try and maintain your system as much acid free as possible.
