I say...and you think...

  1. Hockey ::  Sticks and toothless smiles.  I also think about the time I was little and I went to a hockey game (the Hartford Whalers) with my mom and her boyfriend.  I was no more than 7 and wasn't even sure of what to expect.  I remember some poor player getting smacked in the face with a puck and blood spattered all over the ice.  I asked my mom if that was blood I was seeing and she quickly reassured me, "No.  Not blood.  Everybody is fine."  I also remember going to the lounge afterwards and being presented with a Shirley Temple by a smiling bar tender.  I came home with a hockey puck and signed hockey stick, too, but I have no memory of how I acquired them.  Things were a wee bit overwhelming there so most of my memories include the fogged perimeter and buzzing.

  2. Twirling :: My daughters twirling in long swooshy skirts when they were little.

  3. Montreal :: Trains.  Where I grew up there were train tracks across the street and some of the freight trains would have Montreal something or other on the side.

  4. Better ::  Good, Better, Best.

  5. New :: More money spent.

  6. Rally :: Motorcycles.  Like the Sturgis Rally.  When we lived in South Dakota I loved when everyone came up for the rally.  There were so many wonderful characters going by on their bikes.  The Fam Camp on base would fill up and it was fun watching people transform into weekend bikers and ride off.

  7. Stanley :: The first image that pops into my head is Don Knotts.  Didn't he play a character named Stanley in one of his movies?  The Amazing Mr. Limpett maybe?

  8. USB:: port.  That's all I've got for that one.

  9. Scouted :: Girl Scout camp outs.  We didn't do the living 'rough' thing.  We had danish!

  10. Cough :: Not fun and freaks me out slightly when other people do it uproariously and hackingly.  Especially if their faces, or in the case of bald people, their whole heads turn red.  I'm never quite sure what to do and they are always waving their hands at me saying, "I'm all right" when in fact, there is no way they could be 'all right' what with the hacking, and wheezing and soon-to-be-a-dead-horse noises going on.
