I was in the mood for some strawberry ice cream the other day but didn’t have any SCD yogurt on hand. I decided to experiment and see how it would come out if I used fresh strawberries instead of yogurt. Happy to say that it came out excellent. It was actually a bit thicker, with a slightly more intense strawberry flavor. Kind of like a sorbet.
Non-dairy Strawberry Peanut Butter SCD Ice Cream Ingredients 1 cup frozen strawberries 1 tsp natural peanut butter 2 or 3 fresh strawberries a pinch of sea salt
Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor until the consistency of thick ice cream.
