New Happenings

Posted Jun 15 2009 6:28pm

There have been a few changes and new events in my life. One of the changes is to good ol'Crunchy Bits. I have been invited to be a blogger for Wellsphere, under theDigestive Health Community. I am so excited about this opportunity and look forward to being part of the community.

Don't worry, Crunchy Bits isn't going to turn into a day by day Crohn's Journal and Handbook. My goal is to

help people to live a better life in spite of having an inflammatory bowel disease. To show that yes, there are bad days, in fact there are very horrible days, but, it doesn't have to strangle us down to the point where all we are is Crohn's or Ulcerative Colitis or IBS. There are still things we can do, accomplishments to be made, and we can even make plans for the future.
It also means sometimes ignoring it. Not to the point where you stop taking your meds or go out and eat a huge, greasy, burrito platter, but, it does mean that sometimes you don't have to talk about it, think about it, deal with it, even if it's just for a few moments a day. Sometimes you won't read anything about Crohn's in an entry. Sometimes I'm so sick of living with it day to day, hour by hour, minute by minute, (as I am sure you are) I just don't want to talk about it, so we'll explore some other things instead or I just might do what I'm best at. Ramble away about new discoveries and experiences.
I love to get feedback and read comments. The comments on Crunchy Bits are open to the public. If you have questions, comments, or wish to talk to me about something that you don't wish everyone else to see you can always feel free to email me at rayne@mazursark.com
