I have uc too. I have been training for a half marathon in May. I've gotten to 9 miles and am having a major flare up. Three 'accidents' while running. My doctor has put me on steroids and increased my Asacol to 8 per day. I'm backing off my training to 3 mile runs for a week and am going to try to pick it up next week. I've chosen running routes with possible bathroom stops along the way and have resigned myself to expect a port-a-john stop during the race (ugh). I am considering trying a probiotic and aloe vera supplement. I've read this is a possible treatment. Good Luck to you! When is your race.
