I forgot to mention the robin’s nest that we noticed sitting on a drainpipe by the roof! We’ve all kept an eye on this nest for some time, and named the male robin “Deuce”, because he came up to us one night outside with two huge worms in his mouth. He’s a brave little guy- he divebombed Rob once just to show he could do it. Anyway, we noticed that the female robin had spent quite some time sitting on the nest, and today she finally left- revealing at least four babies!

I haven’t heard them make a peep yet, but they’re definitely jostling for space in the nest. I keep seeing a little tiny runt with a much smaller beak, who often seems to be stuck underneath all its bigger brothers and/or sisters. Soon they’ll be learning to fly, and will leave the nest within the next week or two. *sniff*… they grow up so fast!
