Grains Grains Grains!

Nothing I love more than getting home from work with little-to-no "TTC rage", jumping on my bike to go down to the bulk store and get a whole wack of stuff I've never cooked with before and making an absolutely delish new creation.

The only thing better than that, is having a bath with coca and salt right after. With a glass of wine. Good wine, not the crappy "I want wine but don't have any money" kind.

And the only thing better that THAT, is knowing you don't have to go to work the next day because you're flexing your office hours so you can work at Relay for Life that night. I might have to work till midnight tomorrow, but it's gonna be 6 hours of FUN FUN FUN work with high energy people and amazing fundraising possibilities.


So without further ado.....the first of two delicious creations I made tonight.


2 Chicken breasts
1 cup water
1/2 cup dry quinoa
Salt and Pepper to taste
1/2 tsp. cumin
1/8 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. olive oil
1 lemon, juiced
2 tbsp. fresh mint
2 tbsp. raisins


1. Bake chicken for 18-20 min at 350'. Let cool slightly and chop into choppy bits.

2. Cook quinoa according to how you usually cook it. If you don't know how, google it.

3. Fluff that tasty quinoa with a fork, toss with salt, pepper, cumin, cinnamon, olive oil, lemon juice, mint and rasins.

4.When chicken is cool enough, give some to your overweight cats. Then have a rub fest with them for 5 min. Then wash your hands.

5. Put that chicken in. Toss it up!

6. Eat it. finish dish #2.....
