I saw a really great film over the weekend called Food Matters. A friend of mine had the DVD and thought I would enjoy it. I did. It’s a documentary about healing the body through food versus pharmaceutical drugs. It does a really good job explaining how the drug companies and medical industry operates, what their agendas are, what their motivations are, and helps to educate us, as consumers, as to what is really going on.
As those of us who are using, and have used, the Specific Carbohydrate Diet to heal digestive issues and disease know, what you eat, and what you don’t eat, greatly affects your health and how your body functions. Healing can take place naturally with diet and healthy supplements and does not have to require meds or surgery.
As James Colqhuoun, the director of the movie, puts it
“With nutritionally-depleted foods, chemical additives and our tendency to rely upon pharmaceutical drugs to treat what’s wrong with our malnourished bodies, it’s no wonder that modern society is getting sicker. ‘Food Matters’ sets about uncovering the trillion dollar worldwide “Sickness Industry” and giving people some scientifically verifiable solutions for curing disease naturally.”
I highly recommend this movie for anyone who is interested in natural healing, alternative treatments, nutrition, and staying healthy. I’ve posted the trailer above, and if you click on the banner below, it will bring you to their website where you can watch the entire movie.
