Dole Pineapple Juice Now Contains Cornstarch?

What is this world coming to? That’s crazy.

I’m sitting here looking for a good jerky recipe to try out in my dehydrator and you know how it is on the internet, one thing leads to another which leads to another, and the next thing I know I’m reading all about how Dole has recently taken it upon themselves to add Vitamin A to their pineapple juice and the Vitamin A is bound to cornstarch. WTF? Why do they have to mess up a perfectly good product? What’s wrong with those people at Dole? Do they think they are going to sell more juice by adding a few more vitamins to it? Obviously, they must. That’s horrible. It’s even more horrible if it’s not labeled as such on the product.

Evidently, this news made it’s way around the SCD community several months ago. I’m late to the party here because I haven’t had the chance to do much blogging or blog reading over the past several months, but I’m very grateful for everyone who did post about it.

Here are some links to the articles about this horrible thing:

No more Dole Pineapple Juice for me. Another reason for me not to trust the big brands.
