I just got back from vacation on Friday night. Then Saturday we had to do some shopping for the new house. As of Monday, my wife and I are homeowners again. There still a lot to do before the move and I've been very busy all week long. Monday was a real circus waiting for appliances to be delivered, carpet cleaners, the internet and phone company, utilities, locksmith, etc. To make matters worse only one of the two AC units in the house was working. This only three weeks after passing inspection. I called the service company that installed the units and met the tech today after work. We got into chatting when I mentioned my surgery. As it turns out the tech had the same surgery 18 years ago when he was 27. He proceeded to tell me how he eats anything he wants has no issues whatsoever and the only medication he takes is a shot of pepto in the morning which keeps him bound up for most of the day. It was good to hear a real success story and get tips from other j-pouchers and wanted to pass this on.
