Applegate Farms Organic Uncured Beef Hot Dogs

Hot dogs sometimes scare me. The thought of consuming nitrate-laden pulverized meat odds and ends is not appealing to me. Growing up, I hated hot dogs. I could not stand the taste of them. I was strictly a hamburger girl. But of course, back then, all we really had were either Oscar Meyer Weiners or Ballpark Franks. There weren’t nearly as many choices as are available today. I started eating hot dogs again once I was older and brands like Sabrett or Hebrew National were more widely available. I found the taste of these premium brands more appealing to me. Then, several years ago, I discovered the newest breed of hot dogs - organic uncured hot dogs. I love these hot dogs. And they’re SCD legal. Made with organic beef and spices, they taste meaty and clean, and I’m not left with a strange aftertaste in my mouth from preservatives as in conventional hot dogs, nor does the taste and texture of them make me question their contents. They make a great snack just cut in pieces and dipped in mustard.

The ingredients in Applegate Farms Organic Uncured Beef Hot Dogs are:
Organic Beef, Water, Less than 2% of Sea Salt, Sodium Lactate (naturally occurring salt from beets), Celery Powder, Organic Onion Powder, Organic Spices, Organic Paprika
