89 year old mother with undiagnosed bleeding from small intestines (endoscopy - colonoscopy- small bowel followthrough- nuclear

Doctors recommend she be transfused weekly - rather than surgery (she could still do the small camera swallow which could detect source of bleeding.  Think it woudl be better to locate source of bleed than transfuse her weekly.  What do you think -
