Mediterranean diet helps control diabetes

 I've just read an interesting feature about mediterranean diet and its positive effects on controlling diabetes. Many studies have shown that individuals who have Type 2 diabetes and followed the Mediterranean diet were able to keep the disease under better control. These benefits seem to be related to a reduced consumption of red meats and low fiber foods characterizing the mediterranean diet.
