There are no studies that show HCG has benefits for weight loss. The diet to follow is one that consists eating 500 calories a day, this near -starvation quantity of calories is dangerously low and is only about a third of the daily recommended amount. With side effects such as faintness, irregular heart rates and hair loss I don't think it is worth taking a chance. I have had a few friends that have had some of the side effects. One ended up losing a ton of hair before she found out by her Dr. it was due to this diet.
