I am a type 2 diabetic. My Blood Sugar sky-rocketed when I took prednisone to manage inflammation of a herniated disc. I only took it for a week and tapered down to my last dose 5 days ago. I am experiencing lower glucose levels, but am still running higher than my usual "normal range." I am wondering how long it generally takes for the after effects of the prednisone to stop impacting my sugar levels.
