For people with high blood glucose levels, the most common skin manifestations are infections, like Candida (yeast infections), fungal infections, like athlete's foot and furunculosis (bacterial infections of hair follicles).

There are also many skin manifestations of long standing diabetes melitus, and they are different for type I and type II diabetes.
