Whilst I hadn't even heard of Amlodipine I did look up the patient information leaflet for you. In the side effects section it does mention it can cause mental or mood changes so I would say that if you weren't feeling depressed before you started taking it then there is a very good chance this medication could be making you feel this way. Most side effects wear off within the first few weeks so if it continues and doesn't wear off I would really suggest going to see your doctor to see if there is an alternative medication you could take.
