Well, a quiet birthday... almost a little depressing, but not quite.
I'm 27 - how did that happen?!
We went for tea at the Eastern Tiger restaurant last night which was lovely. It was very busy though, almost uncomfortably so, but not quite.
Today I slept until 11am, then mum and I went to the shopping centre, had lunch at Wendy's and got our photos printed at one of those digital printing places. They came out stunning! I was really happy with them. Almost all of them are perfect, but not quite.
Then mum and I went to the movies and saw "Ghost Town" - it was great. Funny, and very sweet. Both Ricky Gervais and Tea Leonie were fantastic. The movies were SO busy. Seriously, I haven't seen the movies at Charlestown that busy since I was in High School...
Had tea with mum and grandma - roast chicken, so good.
I haven't had many phone calls... except from a few family members. Where is everyone, I wonder? Perhaps they've forgotten. Maybe I'm just being a misery guts. Hehee. I was a bit disappointed, almost sad, but not quite.
I came home from being out all day and fully expected at least one message on my answering machine, but there were none. That was a bit of a let-down. I shouldn't complain really, I suppose. it could be worse - I could have no one.
It's still early, though.
It's okay.
Got some great gifts. Very spoiled! Very blessed...
My mum bought me everything I needed to set up my fish tank - stones, filter and 3 fish. I shall name them George, Wally, and Jacinta. LOL.
So far there's only one plant, so it looks really bare... but little by little I'm going to buy things for it, including a background, so it will look a bit better soon. The fishies are so cute!
I'm thinking of starting a separate blog for my poetry and writing. I'll let you all know if I do. I'm going to play around for a while, see if it feels right.
Thank you all for your birthday wishes through facebook. It was lovely to wake up to them this morning. Oh, and Wendy's, which came through at 19 minutes past midnight - definitely the earliest happy birthday I've ever received. Awesome. :)
So much stuff to do, must go. I have 3 loads of washing to do by thursday and try and dry them too - in the rain... I'm almost sure I'll be able to get it all done - but not quite.
