"Borderline individuals are the psychological equivalent of third-degree-burn patients. They simply have, so to speak, no emotional skin. Even the slightest touch or movement can create immense suffering."
I saw the above quote on a website that was not very helpful but it did provide a link to the TIME article where the quote came from. The article is titled "The Mystery of Borderline Personality Disorder" and it is quite the piece. I do not agree with everything that they said but that is pretty normal as I tend to be hypersensitive towards anything related to Borderline Personality Disorder. Anyway long story short it was nice to see Borderline Personality Disorder covered by such a large magazine and the author did go through great effort to break down the stigma that covers this particular personality disorder. Thank you all for the nice comments and emails. My mouth is still sore but at least I am not shaking anymore plus I was able to sleep for a good eight hours which probably made the most difference. I am hoping that this is a sign that at least physically I am getting back up to par. Freaking dentist. Take care
