A Lump - It Just Keeps Getting Better

Posted Jan 07 2009 2:54pm
Getting out today was good, but the heat has tested me. It was good to see familiar faces again. B is now running the anxiety group, so that's really nice. I got a lot out of today. If only by just being there.
Wendy is back (the nurse who heads our treatment team) and I ran into her and got to say welcome back. It's so great to see her, I missed her a lot.
I spent the afternoon at mum's in the air conditioning. I took Isa over there before I left for Karana this morning, as I didn't want to leave her in the hot house. We stayed for dinner.
Got home and the house was an oven - still - and took over an hour to start becoming bearable again.
Talk about the little things that push me over the edge - just the heat makes me want to cry and scream.
I washed Isa down with a wet face cloth to cool her down a bit. She was thrilled.
I've gotten a few more names for doctors and am going with the lady doctor I've recieved the most recommendations for. She is at Charlestown and also bulk bills, which is fantastic. I'll see how it goes. I'm going to go in and see her tomorrow.
The whole situation was made even more urgent last night when I was lying in bed and I found a lump in my breast. Talk about bursting into tears... everything pushes me right now. That was just the icing on the cake.
I've previously had a benign growth removed from that breast, and it's in roundabout the same area... I'm a bit worried. But trying not to think about it too much, or I'll just drive myself crazy(er). Chances are it's nothing, but something hormonal is going on and I want it sorted out.
A lump. Woman's worst nightmare? Maybe one of them...
I've been uploading some more photos to my DA gallery. I took them over christmas and on our holiday to Canberra. Feel free to take a look by clicking on any of the thumbnails in the sidebar gadget and going to the gallery.
That's about it for now.
*Does anyone else's throat tickle when they clean the wax out of their ears???*
