What does it mean when its a white line on the inside of your mouth on the jaw?

I have a white line on the right side of my mouth on my jaw. What does this mean is it bad? My molar on the left side is coming in and it hurts a lot and my jaw tissue around that area is swollen. Is that normal? Please i need the answer to these question before i sepend money at the dentist.
