I had a lower molar out on Thursday and it is now Tuesday. I have had pain all the time but it seems to have gotten worse. It does get better with motrin and a small amount of diluted clove oil. I am wondering what color a dry socket would look like and can it heal without going back to the dentist. I have heard that when the dentist packs it, although helpful with the pain it prolongs the healing process. If ok, I would rather treat it myself so that the healing may work faster. Also is there a color that is a warning sign that treatment is needed? Thank you.
