Nintendo has just released a new product into the market calledWii Fit.This game for the Nintendo Wii console allows you to train your body with yoga, balance excercies, strength excercies, and aerobics. The product is a good solution if you’re not able to get out to the gym, or if you’re like me, and it’s simplytoo hotoutside to be good for you to excercise.
The game uses a balance board which measures the player’s weight and center of gravity. If you input your height, it will also calculate your body mass index. The game provides about forty different activities, including jogging, deep breathing, ski jumping, and step aerobics. The program can also keep track of your outside activities, such as sports, stsretching, or even cleaning and gardening.
Wii Fit ranks in at about an 8/10 on most prominent game sites (IGN, Gamespot, 1up, and Eurogamer) and sold almost 700,000 units in March. However, the game has been described as “lifeless” and criticized by those who want a more serious gym regimine. As well, the game has been known to use offensive terminology such as “overweight” if the body mass index is too high.
The game is recommended for those who want an introduction into daily fitness, but dont necessarily want to try working out at a gym or use expensive equipment.
