Last Monday I went in for a lower gum graft to prevent a tooth from receding.
Not much was said to me, other than it would need some aftercare and I would need pain meds (Ibuprofen) for the first two days. Well this was fine and I slept a lot. The third day I went out and felt pretty good. Continued to eat soft foods, mostly cream soups and puddings and felt pretty good.
Late that evening the upper packing came out that was protecting the roof of my mouth. I had been told this might happen and not to worry.
The next morning when I woke up I was in excruciating pain and had to start taking huge amounts of Ibuprofen. I have been in pain ever since.
I have to eat before taking the meds so the cycle starts all over again.
This is the 7th day and I'm not much better. My doctor says this is normal, just keep taking the meds.

Has anyone had this experience?
