Low Radiation Panoramic X-rays--Advantages

Although a panoramic image does not eliminate the need for the smaller, detailed images of specific teeth obtained from the smaller digital x-rays pictures, it does provide a more comprehensive view to enhance the diagnostic evaluation of not just the teeth, but surrounding bone, sinuses, tempro-mandibular joint, and bone pathology.
