You should ask the insurance coordinator at your place of employment about the benefits available for orthodontics-I am sure thaey can help you.  No dental insurance?  Orthodontics is in the same category as plastic surgery--insurance companies love to collect premiums but they hate to pay out benefits.  And when it comes to cosmetic dental procedures--the dental insurance companies could not care less about how bad your smile might look.
