Husband has a 10 year old dental implant that is causing him pain. . Could it be infected?

Posted by lolique

The pain just occured over the last 24 hours.  No fever, he says he does not feel swelling, but the pain is intense.  If you push on the implant, that does not cause pain.  It is Saturday, I am concerned about him being able to see someone today.

Never trivialize an acute pain such as your husband is experiencing.  I would suggest that you take him to an urgent-care dental facility or hospital emergency room.  They will be able to diagnose the problem and start to relieve his pain.  Un-attended, it could be much worse by Monday-This is an emergency and he needs immediate help
