For most of us, the challenges faced by war-torn and impoverished people around the world are unfathomable. For some of us on the outside, it’s easy to simply employ the “out of sight, out of mind” mentality. However, others are compelled to action. One such group that’s trying to make a difference in the lives of people living in such areas is Right to Play. Listerine, recently partnered with Right to Play to donate up to $100,000 to the group’s cause.
Who is Right to Play?
According to their website, Right to Play is an “international humanitarian organization that uses sport and play programs to improve health, develop life skills, and foster peace for children and communities in the most disadvantaged areas of the world.”
Listerine’s Commitment
Listerine has pledged to donate $1 to Right to Play’s Red Ball Child Play program for every click on the designated link on Listerine.com, up to 100,000 clicks. How will this help? 100,000 clicks will help Right to Play reach 500,000 kids in 23 countries. All it takes is a click (as of 06/20/02 26,939 clicks have been tallied).
How can I help?
To add to the click count(only 1 per person), simply visit the Right to Play initiative’s page on Listerine.com and click on the button titled “Click to Help”. That’s all it takes to make a contribution towards Listerine’s $100,000 commitment.
If you’re aware of other humanitarian efforts headed by dental-related companies, please let me know so I can post about their efforts.
