Gingivitis is inflammation of the gums. You know you have this problem if your gums bleed when you brush them.  Most people think that they must avoid brushing - which is the worst thing you can do. Left alone gingivitis will progress to a more damaging periodontal disease.

The cure:

Making sure you eat 6 grams of xylitol each day. You can eat gum or mints made from 100 percent xylitol ( to reduce plaque bacteria).

You must also gently brush your gums at least twice every day - always before bed at night. Try the following method - you will be amazed!

1) Use a clean toothbrush and non-abrasive toothpaste ( like Crest Original).

2) Rinse the toothpaste off your teeth with an antiseptic (like Listerine)

3) Rinse the antiseptic off your teeth with a protective 0.05% sodium fluoride( like ACT original).

You should see the bleeding stop in a couple of days. It sounds like work but it is really easy and works!
