My five years old daughter requires a dental procedure under general anesthesia. She has 4 cavities to be filled and a decayed molar tooth to be extract. All her teeth are milk teeth. Is it necessary to treat her under general anesthesia . yes, She gets very anxious and nervous in the dental office. I am afraid of side effects that general anesthesia can cause. Does anesthesia effects the growth of children's brain and is it safe. I need an advice I truly can't take a decision.
