I had a tooth cut out 5 days ago, i am in extreme pain, have a foul odor in my mouth, when i put pressure on my jaw where the tooth was extracted, my mouth feels with a very foul taste. I cant eat or drink, what do you think is going on? I need a suggestion as to what i can do to get relief. It is Saturday and the dentist office is closed. Please help.
You know what? It sounds like you have an abcess going on, or an infection at the least. I'm not a dentist or a doctor, but I recommend you start rinsing your mouth with warm salt water every hour or two. Forget about trying to eat solid foods. You'll just get particles in that infected area and it will get worse. Drink soup. Chicken broth, or chicken noodle...Get to a doctor immediately if you start running a fever. Otherwise, get to the dentist first thing Monday. This is serious.
