Here are 4 easy, cost effective ways:
If your patients ‘Like’ your practice Facebook Page, follow you on Twitter or Google+ , your updates during the week can let them know what you’re up to, post photos and announce contests. These take some time, but they’re free.
If you already collect email addresses for email appointment reminders, this is a great opportunity to send out a monthly or quarterly newsletter with special announcements and changes to your practice, such as new team member, new equipment, change in office hours, etc.
There is no additional cost if you’re already using an email service provider. While these services can send automated birthday greetings and other reminders, a newsletter will always be better received if it’s customized.
A new patient welcome letter (or post card) is a nice touch, although I’ve heard of some dentists doing this via email too. This is another way to go that extra step and let a new patient know that they’ve chosen the right practice…yours!
Here’s a great tip: Don’t forget to add a couple of business cards in the letter; it’s always good to have an extra for someone new to you.
This can be accomplished via letter, post card or email. I prefer a post card with a hand written note that I write myself, thanking each patient for their referral. Believe it or not, no matter how often I fill these out, it’s always a great feeling!
