My name is Debra Sheridan.  I was diagnosed Oct '06 with Stage 1V squamous cell CA of the right tonsil.  I completed chemo/radiation treatment on Feb 14, 2007 - my 52nd birthday.  As of today, August 6, 2009, I am cancer free!  Yeah!!  Radiation burned my upper trachea to the point it stenosed enough I needed a trach to breathe.  I've learned to eat again without aspirating or choking.  I'm working to get back to my career of medical imaging sales.  In... My name is Debra Sheridan.  I was diagnosed Oct '06 with Stage 1V squamous cell CA of the right tonsil.  I completed chemo/radiation treatment on Feb 14, 2007 - my 52nd birthday.  As of today, August 6, 2009, I am cancer free!  Yeah!!  Radiation burned my upper trachea to the point it stenosed enough I needed a trach to breathe.  I've learned to eat again without aspirating or choking.  I'm working to get back to my career of medical imaging sales.  In the meantime I've been providing photographic service to my local community and making trach holder straps that are accessories to augment or replace the spongy (ugly!)straps provided by the trach manufacturers or medical supply companies.
