I am a caregiver to my husband Dave who was diagnosed with IgA Nephropathy in 2007.  He is a current dialysis patient in-center at DaVita.  On 8/26/08 I donated my kidney to him as a near perfect match.  However, the kidney failed 1 month later and he now does dialysis.  The cause of his failure was that his body generates too many antibodies and any kidney that is transplanted will fail.
