What to do if you have one of those nasty random pairs of pointe shoes with tiny bugs in them

I've been doing a lot of reading online lately and I keep coming across horror stories of people finding tiny bugs crawling around in their new pointe shoes. Now, this is something that I really did not want to know because now I am paranoid that the next pair of pointes I get will be weevil infested. But, considering that Freeds seem to be at the highest risk for this, I think I'll be ok. So here's what to do if you're one of the unlucky ones that comes across a gross buggy pair:
Don't panic and throw them in water. Not good for the shoe.
Hello plastic baggie. Meet pointe shoes.
Once your shoes are in your plastic bag, put them in the freezer. This should kill the bugs if you leave them there over night.
Now, I know what you're going to say. But, how do I get the nasty dead bugs OUT of the shoe? From what I've read, nothing. They're in there, shake them out as best as you can, but other than that, you're stuck with bugs in your shoes.
I'm seriously glad that I haven't ended up with a pair like this.
