Here's my performance from the Toronto Pole Dance Fitness Showcase! All I can say is... wow what a rush! And I was surprised I even made it!!! Between being sick with a kidney infection, protests in Toronto, and moving to my new house.. I almost didn't think I was going to make it. But I DID!!! And it was a great night. :) I got there kind of late. Toronto driving sucks. LOL! But I was there just in time to perform. I met a couple of my pole idols at TPDFS that I always wanted to meet. And you know what's awesome???? Introducing yourself to some of your favourite well known pole dancers and they already know who you are!!! I was shocked! :) So my performance... wasn't perfect. I screwed up ALOT!!! I couldn't stop sweating. I sweat when I'm nervous and that's bad for pole. But I stuck to it and just had fun with it and did what I could. One thing I learned last night was that every performer felt EXACTLY they way I did. Yet everyone was sooo supportive of each other. You could easily feel the spirit of the pole community. Every pole dancer was at a different skill level and all brought something really unique to the stage. It was beautiful to see and I am so happy to of been a part of it. It was quite the learning experience for me. I had been working on my routine since end of July. And I wanted to bring my own taste to the stage. I'm all about the artistic expression of pole. I do not like dancing sexy any more. I kept out the sexy moves and upped the tricks. And I felt like I wanted to do something different. I like the idea of using a scarf or flowy prop for spin mode. I have another prop idea that I'd like to use next pole show case. Rumor has it there may be another one spring of 2012. That performance was my first time pole touching a brass 45mm Stage Pole Lite. I have only had practice on the 50mm Chrome regular raised stage. I found it REALLY wobbly. The spinny was even worse. I actually fell from the static pole but that was my own stupid fault. :p I forgot to pay attention to the height of the stage pole and I ended up falling out of an extended butterfly! Luckily I caught myself because my grip was working for me at the moment but I boxed myself pretty hard... I'll live though. :p The best part was that most people thought that was just a trick I was doing. No.. I really fell. lol I would like to personally thank SHANYN!!! Of course I wouldn't be where I am in pole if it wasn't for her! Also major thank yous go to Debbie! Now Debbie is not only hot but she's smart too! She gave me a couple tips and suggestions that I did in my routine. She also let my borrow her scarfy thingy for my performance. I still gotta give it back Debbie! Also, thank you hubby for your support and being my Agent/Bodyguard/Life Coach/Hubby/Friend/Personal Assistant/Camera Man! XOXOX LOVE YOU! <iframe width="480" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/zHuRSySq1Qs" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
