My ankle hurts, mostly at the back. It hurts more when I point my foot & is starting to hurt when I walk on it.

I'm a dancer, so my ankle is super important.  I've had this little pain for quite a while, but it's been getting worse over time.

I thought it might be posterior impingement syndrome (dancer's heel), but I'm not sure. Any ideas what else it might be?

Can you tell if it's muscle or tendon/ligament?  i'm guessing it's not bone, although it could start out as a hairline fracture...  What's hard about dance is that small pains can become chronic when it doesn't heal earlier on :( Can you land from jumps without feeling pain?

I have pain when pointing my foot, and when it's really bad, it'll also hurt to go on releve.  Mine is probably more tendon(itis) related... not sure if we have the same problem though.  Hope you can rest your foot and get better soon!

i have the same problem with my right foot but its a bit swallen and hurts if i touch it hard, i resently just got out of a cam-walker from having my right broken at the side of it.....
