Take some classes. You have three options: 1. Take some group classes. They generally run anywhere between $10-$20 per class. This is the least expensive route and you meet a lot of people interested in the same thing and you might even find a partner to practice with if you don't have one already. 2. Take private lessons. These run between $65-$120 per lesson. If you take from and independent contractor, you will typically find a better instructor AND pay less! The reason is because most independent instructors have already been trained for years and worked for studios before realizing they could make more money going independed while charging their students less. However, with Salsa, you have to be careful you do not end up with a street dancer turned instructor. Find someone that has good training or you'll end up with a lot of bad habits. 3. Go to clubs and take the free lesson at the start of the night. This is the slowest process, but very affordable. There are many places to learn Salsa in L.A., so you just have to decide what route you want to take, find an instructor & class you like and go from there. You can also float around to a variety of classes. Hope I helped!
