if you feel as though you may be pregnant and are reasonably close or past your expected period then you can take an HPT at any point

it is a possibility. If you had fertile CM if you ovulated When you do not take birth control pills on schedule (or on and off) then it will make your cycle irregular because it messes with the hormone balance and how that cycle works. the only way to know if you are pregnant is to take a test. And it will save you a lot of stress

there can be sperm in pre-ejaculate and there can be plenty left behind while your partner withdraws...
and normally semen is only viable for a few hours because of the acidity of the vaginal canal;however, if you are fertile (that would be three days before, the day of and the day after ovulation) that times is extended by a few days because the cervical mucus becomes less acidic (you can tell if you are fertile if you see cervical mucus that is either watery or has the consistancy of eggwhite- the eggwhite being the most fertile)
