I’m thankful for this absolutely gorgeous weather. I know it’s cliche, but I have to say it. The weather this week has been spectacular. Perfect for hanging out outside, going to the park, and taking the dog for a walk. Since I read that Chicago is going to have a brutal winter , I’m grateful for weeks like this. I’m trying to savor every minute before the cold and snow sets in. I just love this picture. Runner friend love. (We're in a lot of obnoxiously bright colors, aren't we?) I’m thankful for free WiFi at Panera. Nothing works better to kill some time than a bagel and some blog reading. Nothing. I’m thankful that Andy Bernard is the new boss on The Office. I know it’s kind of random, but for some reason, I’m really attached to Andy. I always tell Goose it’s because I think they are similar. He always denies that very strongly. So take that for what it’s worth, but I’m in love with the Nard-Dog. Okay, well. That was a random list. Tell me, what random things are you thankful for today? |

I feel like each Thursday comes faster than the last. How is it possible that it’s already? Ali rocks for starting this tradition, which is always the bright spot in my week.
Let’s dive right in, shall we?
I’m thankful for the Chicago Marathon! I am so ridiculously excited for this weekend, and only a little bit sad not to be running. I’m madly in love with the Chicago Marathon — there’s no denying it. It is a great race in a fantastic city, and there’s so much spectator support it’s insane. Over 1.5 million people cheering? I’d like that on every single run, please. I’m really looking forward to being one of the 1.5 million this year, and running with my friend Regina for a few miles. She is going to ROCK her first marathon and I’m so proud of her! (This is the same girl who looked at me after her first half and said, “There’s no @$*(& way I’m ever doing a full.” She was wrong.)
College Lauren & Regina. We're precious. On Sunday she will be covered in sweat and kicking 26.2 miles in the booty. I will be holding obnoxious signs and screaming my head off. It's all good.
I’m thankful for a week of awesome donations to CCFA . I mentioned in my fundraising tips post that I was selling babysitting slots for a donation. I had ten up for grabs, and they sold in just over 24 hours. I am in awe and so grateful to my friends for donating.
I’m thankful for Month at the Museum 2 at the Museum of Science and Industry. I’m a little bit obsessed with the Museum of Science and Industry, and I absolutely loved following along with the first MATM. For those who don’t know, last fall a woman named Kate lived at the museum for 30 days, and shared her experiences through blogs, Twitter, and vlogs. Kate was awesome and hilarious, and did a wonderful job making science fun and interesting. When I met her, it was kind of like meeting a celebrity. I was all geeked out. Well it looks like I’ll be making a trek to the museum this fall to meet Kevin, MSI’s new roommate .
Me and Kate!
