A marathon! 26.2 miles. It’s been two years since my last marathon , and I am hoping to shave some minutes off that time this summer. Well, actually, I don’t have a choice. My marathon PR is 6:08:56 and this course limit is 6:00! But given my pace for other races, I think it’s beyond doable. Bring it on, Twin Cities!
2012 was a pretty minimal racing year for me. The Nashville Women’s Half with Team Challenge was my big race of the year, but I spent a lot of last year sorting out my new Crohn’s diagnosis, adjusting to a new job and schedule, and dealing with some other things that life threw my way. I’m ready to be back to the routine of running and racing that makes me feel like me.
So hurry up, nice weather! I’ve got some running to do.
