When I take guaifenesin [Musinex] the sticky mucous seems to go away and my coughing diminishes greatly. Since I uses postural drainage, now I have little to cough up. My COPD is a complication of Kartagener's Syndrom so my cillia do not move. Where is the mucous going and how is it being removed? I'm OK with less mucous, just don't understand how it is being removed from my body. Thanks.
