Most people depend on different doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and insurance companies for their health care. It’s a team effort, and you are the most important member of the team. Visit the Quick Guide to Healthy Living for tips and tools to help you manage your health care.

The Basics—As the most important member of your health care team, you can take steps to make sure you get the best care possible. Organize your health information, and be prepared for visits to the doctor.

Take Action—Start by gathering your health information in one place. Include the contact information for all of your doctors and your pharmacy.

When you visit the doctor, write down your questions ahead of time. Be sure to follow up after your appointment to get any recommended tests or lab work.
