Even with COPD, it's never too early-or too late-start MOVING. It is sometimes VERY difficult to develop a routine and stick to a schedule, and I know it as well as anyone. I go into slumps, but try to promise not to do no activity more than 3 days. You start to "lose what you have gained". The very idea of that terrifies me into action. I will get moving again right after this posting, I will do some stair climbing at home with my high flow tank on my back.roxlyngcd@comcast.netah-so, I kept my promise to get moving and I climbed up and down my homes two flights of stairs (28) for a total of 1500 steps, thus 750 up & 750 down in 31:16:24. I think my muscles will feel that especially since I had the O2 tank in back pack = to almost 15 pounds. See what five years of adding minutes each week does if you keep at it?! Yes, HOW BORING, but, look how good I feel, and how this translated into doing other activities more easily and for longer. The work before reward of better fitness.
