My day yesterday was very interesting.I was playing patient for about 8 groups of 10 or so first year medical students for 4 hours at the University Colorado Denver . They had just covered pulmonalogy, and each year they invite some patients to help out by allowing these future doctors to listen to lungs of mild-moderate, severe, or athsma IPF andso on.
.
It will help them know what to listen for. The leading doctor in my group also had me talk to them about the patient's side of COPD, why-how-what and life.
Helping in the training of future doctors - patient in put to them on what is good for us, or what is helpful will give them insight other students might not figure out through books.
