March 16 2013   Check out NHOPA is it a group for you?

NHOPA (The National Home Oxygen Patients Association) is devoted to improving the lives of people who require supplementary oxygen. Should you want to receive their monthly newsletters, plus  The “Understanding Oxygen Therapybooklet”, and,A member-to-member listing -providing you a chance to communicate directly with other oxygen users, [but onlyif you choose to share your address]-   go to:  www.homeoxygen.org   Contact Information:  NHOPA Executive Office8618 Westwood Center Drive, Suite 210    Vienna, VA 22182-2222   Phone:1-888-NHOPA-44 (1-888-646-7244)

or for an on line membership applicationhttp://www.homeoxygen.org/assets/docs/NHOPAForm.pdf  then go to and read their older news letters on this pagehttp://www.homeoxygen.org/publications      You're Never Too Old or Too Frail to Exercise http://www.intelihealth.com/IH/ihtIH/EMIHC256/35320/35322/467011.html?d=dmtHMSCo “Getting started is probably the toughest hurdle to overcome. Too often older, frail people have the wrong impression that they are past the point where exercise can do any good. In fact, the more widely held notion is that exercise will make them worse. This is clearly not the case as long as the exercise program is designed to be safe, easy at first and to progress at a reasonable pace. Keep your exercise sessions short—7 to 10 minutes when first starting out—and your routines simple to build your confidence that you can do it.”
