Those of us with COPD unfortunately don't have many surgical options. Lung Volume Reduction Surgery is one of the few available to us. The only others that I'm aware of are bullectomy and lung transplantation (if anyone knows of any others, please comment and let me know!). There are also clinical trials underway for LVRS using valves, which is one of the trials I hope to get into.
