Links to Exercise and Better Health from EFFORTS’ Ann Lornie

There is no doubt in my mind that the act of beginning an exercise program can improve one’s physical and mental health. The exercises below are mainly for the upper body and the bonus of using your muscles and getting them stronger is that it can also increase bone density and spare us from osteoporosis. There is also one for balance.

The mental help it gives is the bliss from the virtuous smug feeling of having completed what you started out to do. It is also good for us to take care of ourselves by making time to exercise; it generates an ‘I am worthwhile’ feeling. You don’t have to do each exercise every day; alternate days are better for the muscles’ recovery. Sort out the ones which are within your capabilities and, if you prefer, do two or three on one day and the next day do two or three others. You can watch TV at the same time, if you wish. :)–QYg&feature=channel
