Respiratory therapists are going to Washington DC to meet with members of Congress. You can help their effort by contacting your own members of Congress just before they arrive in DC.

Last August AARC had its first Virtual Lobby Day, where thousands of respiratory therapists contacted their members of Congress asking for support our legislation, the Medicare Respiratory Therapy Initiative.

The AARC wants to build on this past success by launching a Virtual Lobby WEEK, right before the respiratory therapists who are designated as your state societies Political Advocacy Contact Team representatives come to Washington, DC for the respiratory professions’ annual Capitol Hill Lobby Day, set for March 8th, 2011.

Respiratory therapists, pulmonary patients and RT supporters from around the country are invited to take part in the AARC’s Virtual Lobby Week. Starting on Friday February 28th and going through Monday March 7th we want members of Congress and their staff to hear the voices of the respiratory community loud and clear asking for Congress to support the Medicare Respiratory Therapy Initiative.

Your emails, phone calls or letters will reinforce the message that your PACT representatives will be delivering face to face with your Senators and the Members of the House of Representatives.
