Waiting my turn, watching hundreds of runners and walkers go by to cross the starting timing pads. I will be last to start, but not last to finish. For those unfamiliar with timing these events. We wear a "chip" on our ankle that is activated when we cross the starting pads at the beginning, and register when one crosses the Finish line. The race didn't have a "gun" start, but close, a horn was blown. When I cross the finish I can see my "gun" time. Then later, the computer gives my net time according to chip activation. My start was delayed for about 3 minutes .
